Not everything goes on the same day. Each phase has its moment — including the pauses.

Apply once the main heat wave has passed and the lawn is neither extremely thirsty nor waterlogged.
Over the following days, if decomposed thatch residue is holding moisture at the surface, rake it away gently by hand. There's no need for aggressive mechanical scarifying.

- surface moisture
- residue on the surface
- condition of the sward
- how temperatures are trending
If the lawn is still badly stressed, wait. If it's stable, move to the second phase.
The heart of POST SUMMER RESET.
Details
Helps the lawn through seasonal stress and supports the root system. This isn't about a quick shot of green: it carries the lawn from summer strain towards recovery.
Apply in the morning where possible, followed by a good watering. Dosage as per the label.
This wait is part of the protocol, not a gap in it.

Look for: growth restarting, better colour, more even coverage, stressed patches stabilising.
This period also tells you how much of the summer damage recovers on its own and how much will need overseeding.
How is your lawn responding?
The third product isn't needed
If the sward has regained activity, colour and structure, the liquid fertiliser isn't required. Keep maintaining the lawn and prepare for overseeding.
If a product isn't needed, it isn't used. It keeps for later.
Bring in the liquid fertiliser
The lawn is stable but still weak or yellowed. Here the third product makes sense: continue to the next phase.

Do not apply during a heat wave, on a thirsty lawn, or in full sun.

Worth using when the lawn is no longer under extreme stress, isn't thirsty, has no waterlogging and has started working again, but remains weak or yellowed.
