Thanks to its slow growth and drought resistance, it’s perfect for both private gardens and public spaces. Below is a detailed step-by-step guide to achieve the best results with LERAVA® Dichondra seeds.

1. Soil preparation:

Remove weeds, stones, and debris. Work the soil with a shovel or rake until it’s soft, fine, and level. A uniform surface helps ensure even seed distribution and consistent germination.

2. Base fertilization:

After preparing the soil, apply a potassium-rich starter fertilizer, such as LERAVA Autumn Fertilizer, at 30 g/m². This nourishes the soil and supports the early stages of plant growth, creating a solid foundation for a long-lasting lawn.

3. Sowing:

Spread the seeds evenly at a rate of 10 g/m². For better distribution, you can mix the seeds with fine sand. After sowing, lightly cover them with 5–6 mm of soil. The ideal sowing temperature is between 19 and 20°C.

4. Initial watering:

Keep the soil consistently moist during the first two weeks. Water gently up to 4 times per day, avoiding waterlogging but preventing the surface from drying out. Moisture is essential for germination and early plant development.

5. Reducing watering:

After about 14 days, gradually reduce watering—first to twice a day, then once, depending on weather conditions. The lawn will start to appear denser and stronger, indicating good root establishment.

6. Maintenance fertilization:

After one month, apply a second fertilizer treatment at 25 g/m² to keep the lawn healthy and well-nourished. This step helps strengthen the leaf structure and improves long-term turf coverage.
