Sowing season:

1. Remove weeds, stones, and debris. Turn the soil to about 15–20 cm deep using a spade or digging fork. Improve heavy clay with sand or mature compost, then rake smooth.
   
2. Spread the seeds evenly—ideally in two passes: horizontal then vertical. Apply about 40 g/m². For best results, use a spreader. Lightly rake to cover the seeds with about 1 cm of soil.
   
3. Roll the area gently to ensure good seed-to-soil contact. Then water thoroughly but gently with a fine spray. Keep the soil consistently moist (never soggy) through the 7–21 day germination period, depending on climate.
   
4. Avoid walking on the lawn while it establishes. Keep watering regularly—preferably early morning or evening. Once the grass reaches 8–10 cm, mow for the first time, cutting no more than ⅓ of the blade height. Gradually reduce watering to promote deep roots.
   
5. Maintain your lawn with regular fertilizing (e.g. slow-release feed), routine mowing, prevent waterlogging, and overseed any thinning spots. The CHAMPION blend’s drought and traffic resistance ensures a healthy, green lawn year-round.
